How the Multilingual Engine Works

When a user selects a language other than French and the Google Translate API is enabled, the translation workflow operates as follows:

1. Incoming Translation: The user’s input—submitted in any language—is automatically translated into French before being processed by the core chatbot engine.

2. Core Processing: The engine analyzes the French text using its internal dictionary, rules, and memory tables to generate an appropriate response.

3. Outgoing Translation: Before the final response is delivered to the user, the core output is translated back into the user's selected language.

Why French is the Core Engine Language

• Single Dictionary Efficiency: By processing and storing data exclusively in French, the system eliminates the need to maintain hundreds of separate language dictionaries. This keeps the codebase simple, efficient, and lightweight.

• Linguistic Complexity: French was chosen as the underlying core language because its rich grammatical structure (gender, number, agreement, and tenses) provides a robust foundation for word manipulation, enabling more precise contextual matching and natural conversational logic.
